Flow and Pop by Katie B. Vasbinder

Friday, January 5th — Friday, February 9th

These abstract, flowing paintings are a release from the rigid, mathematical projects I’ve worked on practicing architecture. As an artist, I find calmness in the intangible energy around me, where my mind can escape and my body can flow freely — like floating in the clouds.

Katie Vasbender is a practicing artist, licensed architect and a grateful mom. Born and raised in Central Minnesota, traveled a bit here and there, and currently living in North Dakota.

“I have a variety of mediums I work with in my studio, from acrylic paint to ceramic clay. I enjoy practicing both art and architecture and feel they dance with each other in my head, taking turns with the lead.”

Accessibility: Currently the Taube Is only accessible via stairs. We are fundraising to replace our lift, projected to be installed in early 2024.

This exhibition is sponsored by the North Dakota Art Gallery Association (NDAGA), a statewide service organization for non-profit museums & galleries, and supported in part by a grant from the North Dakota Council on the Arts, which receives funding from the state legislature and the National Endowment for the Arts.
