A Start in Art!

Tuesday, October 22nd — Wednesday, October 23rd

Our annual program established in 2000 where children get to read a book, meet a mystery animal, and make related art projects!

Parents can register kids for either Tuesday OR Wednesday classes.  Runs twice a month through May 2025. During the first session, kids will be read a fun story by one of our teachers and get to create multiple related hands on art projects. The second session each month children will be visited by a mystery animal from the Roosevelt Park Zoo! Then, they will make art based around the animal.

Open to ages 9 Months – 5 years old. Parent Participation required. There are 16 sessions in total.
Program Fees: Members – $100 | Nonmembers – $120
Drop in rate – $10.00 per class. Drop in rates can be paid at the door, but please call ahead and let us know you’re coming!

Our Museum displays two exhibitions every 4-6 weeks, showcasing local, national, and international artists. Our gift shop displays many different artists and styles, and we offer art classes for both children and adults. Our space is also available for rentals!
