Ya know, I stumbled into this fancy-schmancy ice cream joint downtown – Magic City Sweets – with my niece and nephew. Tell ya what, it’s actually pretty sweet, no pun intended. Got these arcade games that don’t cost ya nothing, which is music to my ears, if you catch my drift. Kids went nuts over building their own sundaes while I parked myself at Pac-Man like it was 1982.
Was gonna take ’em to that animal painting thing at the Taube Museum – you know, educational stuff to make their parents think I’m responsible – but we got sidetracked when I heard Drew Hanson’s playing at the Blue Rider tonight. Figure I’ll swing by later, throw some cash in the hat for a good cause. Maybe grab a pizza, though between you and me, nothing beats the quarter-pounder I’ve got sitting in my coat pocket from lunch. Good thing it’s National Pickle Day – that bad boy came with extra pickles.
