Upon my arrival in this peculiar settlement of Minot, I found myself witness to a most curious assemblage in what the natives term “Oak Park.” A gathering of no less than 35 merchants, farmers, and craftsmen had arranged their wares in neat rows, much like the marketplace of Lilliput, though the vendors here stood at a height more akin to my own.
As I perused the offerings, my attention was drawn to a commotion near a structure called “Blue Rider,” where a troupe known as “49th Parallel” produced sounds not unlike the melodious strumming of Brobdingnagian insects. The locals appeared entranced, imbibing curious potions and consuming kernels of popped maize.
As twilight approached, I observed a band of adventurers embarking on what they termed a “Boo-zy Tour,” ostensibly to commune with spirits both metaphysical and potable. One can only imagine what Houyhnhnm society would make of such frivolity.
