On this momentous day, as we celebrate the signing of our great Constitution, I find myself marveling at the spirited happenings in the charming town of Minot. ‘Tis a day for both solemn reflection and merry-making, and the good people here seem to have struck a fine balance.
At Atypical Brewery & Barrelworks, they’ve concocted a clever scheme called “Take Out Tuesday.” One can procure cans of their finest brews at a discount, and upon purchasing multiple, receive a reusable holder – a most ingenious method to encourage both thrift and care for our environment. Meanwhile, the Blue Rider offers a simple yet delectable repast: a grilled cheese with tomato bisque reduction, paired with a Hamm’s beer, all for a mere six dollars. ‘Tis a combination that would tempt even the most austere of patriots.
But what truly captures my interest is the upcoming “Picklicious 2024” at the Minot Farmers Market. As one who has long extolled the virtues of industry and invention, I cannot help but admire this celebration of the pickling arts. It reminds me that the spirit of innovation that birthed our Constitution lives on in the most unexpected of places. God bless America, and God bless the pickle-makers of Minot!
