Full Flower Moon Fairy Hike

Saturday, May 4th    9:30 pm—10:30 pm

Take an evening hike. Fort Stevenson State Park’s Evening Hike Series is back for 2024. Six evening hikes are planned throughout the year as part of the series, each offers a unique outdoor hike experience. All hikes start from the Visitor Center.

The Full Flower Moon Hike takes place May 4th starting at 9:30 PM. Join us for a fun evening exploring a section of trail lit by a kaleidoscope of glowing objects.

Hikes in the Series:
Full Snow Moon Candlelight Hike – February 24 (6PM – 7:00PM)
Come out and enjoy the Full Moon in February known as the Snow Moon. Cross-country ski, snowshoe or hike. Our team will use candle luminaries to light the trail.

Full Flower Moon Fairy Hike – May 4 (9:30PM – 10:30PM)
Join us for a fun evening exploring a section of trail lit by a kaleidoscope of glowing objects.

Sensory Hike – August 17 (9PM-10PM)
Take a look at the world from a different perspective!
Participants will stop at stations along the trail where staff will encourage you to use your senses & learn how nocturnal animals navigate the night. To provide the best experience, park staff will send small groups out on the trail every 15 minutes.

Lantern Hike – August 31 (9PM – 10PM)
New to the series, this hike will feature paper lanterns. Hikers will be asked to decorate a paper lantern and walk the park’s perimeter trail.

Halloween Hike – October 26 (7PM – 8:30PM)
Hike the Halloween themed decorated trail. Bring the little monsters dressed up for a trick or treat opportunity.

First Day Hike – January 1 (6PM-7:30PM)
Cross-country ski, snowshoe or hike to start off the first of the year. Our team will use candle luminaries to light the trail.
