At the hall named for one Ann Nicole Nelson, a native son who has probed the mysteries of those fabled pyramids of Giza will reveal new discoveries to the public eye. One can scarcely imagine a richer gift of knowledge.
And for those more inclined toward the finer arts, a confluence of young talents will be on resplendent display at the Northwest Arts Center. Eight artists present their capstone works in an exhibition most fittingly named “Coalescence.” Truly, the riches of human creativity will be laid bare.
But even for those without lofty spiritual yearnings, the day’s simple pleasures must not be overlooked. From the humble grinder exalted with taco toppings to the warmth of a hot toddy beside rolling golf greens, there is sustenance and merriment enough for all.
Minot emerges today as a latter-day Athens, overflowing with the fruits of human endeavor. The prince would be wise to bask in its renaissance glow, if only for a few fleeting moments.
