Well well well, it appears Minot is positively buzzing with activity today, my friends. Now, I don’t mean to brag, but I do consider myself something of a local happenings historian around these parts.

First off, I must draw your attention to the momentous occasion that is “The Toughest Trivia in Minot” over at the Blue Rider establishment. A true test of mental fortitude, where only the sharpest wits and quickest reflexes will be rewarded with cold, frothy beverages. Why, I remember the time Old Walter Lippman stumped the entire room with his query about the airspeed velocity of an unladen swallow. Quite the hubbub that caused, I can tell you.

But that’s not all, oh no. Our friends over at Prairie Sky Breads are once again dazzling the senses with their weekly smorgasbord of delectable sammies and baked delectations. The very thought of sinking my teeth into their peanut butter banana honey toast has my mouth doing a little dance. And their signature Blue Sky salad? Well, let’s just say it’ll put some lead in your pencil, if you know what I mean.

Of course, being the discerning gourmand that I am, I’d be remiss not to mention that today is also National Chocolate Mousse Day. Why, I can practically taste the velvety richness as we speak. Though I do hope the local purveyors have the good sense to whip it up properly – none of that airy, feckless foam nonsense for this guy!

At any rate, that’s just a taste of the happenings taking Minot by storm. Whether you’re a trivia buff, bread enthusiast, or just a bon vivant about town, there’s plenty of action to get those endorphins pumping.
